Repeat Prescription Online UK

Renew suitable medicines after a GMC-registered GP reviews your case online with GP Carely. Where clinically appropriate, prescriptions can be sent to a chemist near you across the United Kingdom.

How online prescription renewal works

Book a video or phone consultation, share your medication list, doses and any side effects, and confirm which pharmacy should receive the prescription. The GP decides whether a renewal is safe without an in-person review.

We do not prescribe controlled medicines such as strong opioids, benzodiazepines, gabapentinoids or sleeping tablets online.

What to prepare

Current medicine names and strengths, your preferred chemist, recent blood results if relevant, and any allergy history. Exact pricing appears before checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Will my chemist accept a private prescription?

Most UK pharmacies can dispense private prescriptions. You pay the medicine cost at the chemist separately from the consultation fee.

Can every medicine be renewed online?

No. Controlled drugs and some complex treatments need in-person or specialist care. Your GP will advise.

Medical notice: online GP care does not replace emergencies — call 999 for life-threatening symptoms. Clinical documents are only issued after a professional consultation. Last updated 2026-09-25.
